I forgot who said it, but there's an awful lot of truth to it:
"All great fortunes have their origins in a great crime."
What's missing is the fact that fortunes begun with criminality very often continue that way too.
Is this Titanic story too outlandish?
When you look at the money and political considerations involved, I'd say the answer is no.

What is today termed "foreign fighters" in the media, that the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey are supporting, are Islamo-fascists, the same Al Qaeda terrorists the same media regularly villify. Who are these foreign fighters but the same as Al Qaeda who the US blames for 9/11 but is now funding? Wahhabis, Salafis, Islamo-fascists funded by Saudi, Qatar etc. have had to make stops in Lybia, Syria and elsewhere before they are ready to do this to others on the list like Iran.
The propensity of such massacres and rapes committed against Jews, Persians, Armenians and others throughout history by the Arabs of the Arabian peninsula is well known and their record is well documented. At the outset of Islam, they massacred the men of two Jewish tribes and divided the women among themselves for rape. Such massacres and rape are what we find in Syria. Note that Syria and most of the Levantine countries may be Arab in language but are not Arabs in culture, morals or ethnicity. Syrian foreign minister Al-Moallem last week in Switzerland on those Arabs today:
